with a range from 0.2 to 11.5 grams. They are decorated on one side with marks impressed onto the face of the coin with engraved punches.<\/p><p>Some of the punch-marks can be recognised as animals, plants, religious symbols or everyday objects.<\/p><p>The coins above date from the pre-Mauryan period, around 600-320 BC.
